The Eagle Sky Foundation
This is a series of sites in development for my real (day) job. The site splits down into the three separate camp websites (Eagle Sky of the Ozarks, Rockies, Kenya) that are currently in development. The camps are still in construction, so the websites wait for more content before they are fleshed out.
About the Site Design
When brainstorming about the project, I wanted the whole look to incorporate all the imagery of The Eagle Sky Foundation. I started with a cloud background that tiles horizontally, and the rest grew from there. The site is built entirely with XHTML and CSS on the Wordpress framework. This allows me to make updates to the site more efficiently (I also manage the sites), and I can use the various SEO tools inherent in Wordpress as well. The site branches off to the separate camp websites which borrow the sky background for consistency, but with different colors and additional background elements that distinguish the camps from the home site.
About the Eagle Sky Foundation
The Eagle Sky Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) that owns and operates Christian Challenge Camps & Conference Centers in Colorado (between Leadville and Vail), Missouri (in the Ozarks south of St. Louis and north of Poplar Bluff), and Kenya (western Kenya, by Lake Victoria). The camps in Missouri are currently in phase I of construction focused on infrastructure (substation, water plant, roads, etc.) and the first set of cabins. The camps in Colorado are currently on hold until the Ozarks camps are further along.
