This is a pet project of mine, for the benefit of my family. Instead of being scattered all over the internet, I thought it might be a good idea to make a central hub that family members could migrate to, or at least be represented at a centralized location. The site features:

1. Social Network, where each member has a profile, can create and be part of groups, etc.
2. Each member can create their own Wordpress blogs (like Wordpress.com) hosted all at the same place
3. Family Calendar, where family events are posted, and people can share their “public” events to have them appear on the family calendar (color coded) thanks to Google
4. Live chat hosted by Toksta

We also borrow a lot of features from Google (like Google Docs) to make sharing easier (we are a really close family).

About the Design

I have more ambitious plans for the design at some point in the future, but it is basically an adapted version of the default Buddypress theme.
