Eagle Sky of the Ozarks

This is the second part of the larger Eagle Sky Foundation site project. This branch will host the future camp in the Missouri Ozarks, which will be the first camp facilities built.
About the Site Design
After developing the Eagle Sky Foundation site, for consistency I carried over the major elements like the cloud background and navigation styling, but I wanted to come up with something that would really set the child site away from the parent. The solution was really quite simple, I changed the window color, and added an Ozark background to the footer of the site. Voila! the site is the same as its parent, and yet very different. The site is built entirely with xhtml and CSS. It also has a blog built on Wordpress as an avenue for staff and campers to keep in touch over the year, and alumni can stay plugged in. There are no campers or staff yet, so the blog has not been fully developed or styled; it just has a template borrowed from someone else to give an example for the time being. During this project I ran across an incredible free gallery being developed by Cooliris, and I thought to myself, “I must have it.” So began my use of Cooliris for any project requiring a gallery (if feasible). In the future, online camp registration will be installed along with other features as the camps grow.
About Eagle Sky of the Ozarks
Eagle Sky of the Ozarks, LLC, operates facilities (what we refer to as Christian Challenge Camps and Conference Centers) built on property purchased by The Eagle Sky Foundation, Inc.
Located on over 4500 acres of the beautiful Missouri Ozarks, construction is currently focused on infrastructure (roads, water plant, electric substation, etc.) and a multifunctional warehouse/maintenance/office facility in which to stage the balance of the construction efforts.
