Wordpress as a CMS

What is a CMS? A CMS is a “Content Management System.” A content management system allows you to add, delete, or change the content on a webpage without knowing anything about HTML, CSS. If you know how to use a word processing program, then you can use Wordpress. What does that mean for you? It means I can build a site for you that YOU have the ability to change at your leisure without having to rely on a web developer or programmer.

Why Wordpress?

Wordpress is traditionally seen as a blogging tool, but over the years it has evolved. New features are added with each release, and it has grown so powerful that you can now truly use it as a full fledged CMS. Other content management systems tend to charge you a recurring fee, where Wordpress is free. More capability for you for less money.

Efficiency

I use it here for this website to make updates, add to my portfolio, and, of course, blog. It also makes generating dynamic content easy, and there are hundreds of powerful plugins I can install to increase it’s capabilities. For example, I am currently building an eCommerce site that will utilize a plugin that allows you to add products, manage the store, record and analyze sales, process payments, and more. SEO Benefits

Wordpress comes with a powerful update service that alerts a number of services every time you update or make changes to your site. Whenever you publish something, the world knows about it. What is the bottom line? More traffic to your website.
